Birds of a Feather Kit Co Spring Crop

Hi there! I just wanted to do a quick post about what my weekend plans are :) Other than celebrating my daughter's 2nd birthday, I'll be scrapping with the chicks over at Birds of A Feather Kit Co! Come check it out, the challenges are already posted and not due until Wednesday!!! Plenty of time, and Amy is super generous with her crop prizes ;) Up first is Bingo on Friday night and she's giving the winner over $25 in Prima flowers!!!
 And I can't leave you without a layout ;) This is using the February kit from Birds of a Feather. I had some scraps left and used it to complete the "Use your stash" Challenge for March. Our challenge was to use only scraps (we had to prove it with a picture) excluding the base page. The color is a tad off because I took this picture indoors and at night, but I am so excited about this layout...it's the first one that I've used my sewing machine on!
Amy's kits are great...I've made at least 6 layouts using the kit along with a mini album and card. I still have more paper left and hope to use some this weekend :) I dont' want to forget to mention that this layout is based on a PageMaps sketch...Love it for scraps!

*B* is for Bubbles {Cosmo Cricket: Snorkel}

March has been a slow scrappy month for me! Not sure if it's spending more time outside this month (it's pretty much the last chance before it gets too hot), my allergies flared up (from the extra time outside of course) or the family in town that I'm spending time with...but I just finished my first layout in the last 3 weeks! It's been a long time since I've gone that long without creating a layout :)

This is for the March Cosmo Cricket challenge at scrapbook.com. The challenge this month was to use circles...and that I had no problem with!

I knew that I wanted bubbles on the page and that I wanted them to be dimensional so I added some glossy accents or stickles to each of the them.  I love the look but it's so hard to capture in a photograph!
 The title is the name of one of the songs in my girls' swimming classes. Behind the picture is a pullout tab that has the lyrics to the song - just in case one day we are able to forget them :)

Thanks for stopping by & I hope to be back with more soon!

February Project 12 {Imaginisce: Lucy Bird}

This fun sketch was our inspiration for February's Project 12...
And this is what I came up with.
To be honest, I was wishing that I had some glimmer mist to play with on this one! All of that blank space on the kraft CS is just too much for me, feels like it's missing something. I wanted to stitch the border but wasn't willing to spend that much time to do it by hand ;)

Picture Perfect {Bo Bunny: Mama-razzi Collection}

Just in case you live under a rock and didn't hear me scream last night in excitement...my LYB layout was picked as a finalist in their sketch contest! Thanks to LYB and Liz Qualman for the great opportunity!! I'm honored just to be chosen as a finalist but I would still love your votes for the grand prize :) The link to the blog post is right here!

Today I wanted to share a layout I did for the March sketch challenge at Birds of A Feather. Every month there are 5 challenges that Amy posts and you have the whole month to complete them. If you complete all 5, you have a shot at being her next guest designer ;)
When I saw the sketch I knew immediately what paper I wanted to use because of the film strip! I've had the whole collection for a looong time now and it feels so good to use some of it :)
Thanks for stopping by :)
