June Kit Birds of a Feather Kit Co. {Maude Asbury: Gabbie; AC Dear Lizzy: Lucky Charm}

Happy Memorial Day weekend! I'm first up to reveal the awesome June kit at Birds of A Feather Kit Co. I just LOVE the papers in this kit!
I fell in love with the arrows built in to this background paper. I used my knife to cut the arrows so I could layer my Dear Lizzy paper and diecut card behind them. I painted the corrugated sun with yellow and then a touch of gold and then added a piece of flair.
I can't forget to mention that I used sketch #93 at Inspired Blueprints for this layout. Another closeup:
The end of the school year is coming so I wanted to make a couple of cards for my 1st grader's teachers. Both cards say "Summer is here" on the inside. For the first one I used one of the Dear Lizzy diecut cards and then layered yet another flair and corrugated sun.

 And for the other card, I used the Jillibean Soup Diecut Frames and word sticker. I had to include a cute flair here, too! The chevron pattern is the packaging from the corrugated shapes.
You can check out the rest of the June kit here, there are only a few kits left!

More Birds of A Feather Kit Co. May Kit {Simple Stories: Vintage Bliss}

Hello! I'm back today with my 2nd reveal with the May kit at Birds of a Feather Kit Co! I am in love with the Simple Stories Vintage Bliss Collection. When I saw the butterflies, I knew I wanted to create a layout documenting the drama with my daughter's earrings...little did I know the drama would develop even more before I could finish the layout. Just 4 1/2 months ago, she pierced her ears, about a month ago we finally upgraded from the piercing studs to butterfly earrings and then now she has decided to let the holes close. This story is more than I wanted visible on the layout so I created a hidden journaling tag behind the photo.
 I used an older PageMaps sketch for this layout.
I had lots of fun adding the stickers and chipboard pieces!
 The next layout is also based on a PageMaps sketch - from this month. I really like the flow of the photos that I took of my girls last weekend and just squeezed an extra in to fit with the sketch.  It's the simple things that make kids happy, don't you agree?
 I mixed the Lily Bee and Simple Stories on this layout - the mix of chevrons is so fun!
The Lily Bee flair = my favorite part of this kit!
I am going to continue scrapping with this kit for months to come because I have so many accessories and paper still left! Thanks for stopping by :)
