Bingo! {Basic Grey: Nook & Pantry}

Kristie posted a Bingo Challenge at the Creative Cookbooking Iron Chef Crop and I spent nap time on Monday completing it :)

I made my bingo by using: red, bling (stickles on the dots & flowers), a dessert picture and/or recipe, and flowers. I'm not liking the title - I wanted sooo badly for those wood grain letters to work but they are too big. As soon as I find a suitable replacement, I'm going to fix that :)

I scraplifted my own work for this one LOL Which actually started as a scraplift from Suzanne.

I post my challenge for the crop tonight so I'll be back tomorrow to share it and my example ;)

Creative Cookbooking National Scrapbooking Day Online Crop

Yay! The online crop for Creative Cookbooking is finally here so I can officially share some projects that I have had completed for some time now :)

This layout is for a scraplift challenge...and for the life of me I can't remember what brand of paper this is! I completed it over a month ago and the only thing I have left is scraps :\ If anyone can name the paper, leave me a comment so I can update the title of this post - thanks!For more info on the crop, you can read about it on the blog here or just come join in the fun here. I'll be back tomorrow with another challenge layout!

March Project 12 Layout

We're off to a birthday party soon but I wanted to post my March layout for Project 12. At least for the next few days, I'm caught up! Here's the sketch:And my layout: Closeups of the flowers:

I bought some new glossy accents and this one is actually glossy but it's not as dimensional as I'd like. I could do another coat...but I'm OK with this LO as it is :)
Thanks for stopping by and I hope you enjoy your weekend :) Off to spend some time in this great weather with friends!

February Project 12 {Pink Paislee: Cupid Collection}

As I was uploading pictures, I realized that I never shared my layout from January's project 12. I'm hoping this project will give me some focus each month for what to scrap. Basically, a sketch is posted each month and you scrap your month using that sketch. I think there might be contests posted somewhere, but I just want the sketch ;) Here's February's:and my layout:This was from January: I do NOT plan on using Pink Paislee's Cupid Collection for the whole year, but I had enough to do these two months and it goes so well with the pictures! The flowers are also very similar in both months and I wouldn't mind continuing that theme on to the other pages.

To be honest, I had "forgotten" I was doing this so I haven't even looked at the March sketch yet! But right now, I'm off to find the March & April sketch and then will print pictures....

Thanks for looking :)

Bunches of flowers {Little Yellow Bicycle: Baby Safari}

Only 3 more months to go on her first year album! I stayed current until 6 months and then Christmas happened. I'll be glad when I'm done with it - like any project, it's exciting in the beginning but by the end I get sick of it. I've tried to use only Little Yellow Bicycle papers & embellishments throughout the album to have a coherent feel but I couldn't resist the Jenni Bowlin butterflies - they are sooo cute!
I'm sharing this LO because I took a flower technique class at my LSS this week and promised to share what I learned :) One of the flowers was stacked circles - using all the same size. I prefer stacking the scalloped circles or using circles of varying sizes. I can't remember the name of this one....box something...because it's assembled much like folding the flaps of a box shut. This flower would look really good with the right patterned paper. Kinda boring with cardstock.
And still not quite right with this patterned paper. But the LYB stuff is limited on it's double sided paper.

Hope everyone is enjoying their weekend!

Recent Layouts

I participated in my first online crop this weekend at Scrap For A Cure and I'm pretty proud of myself for getting 4 layouts done. SIX pages if you include the 2 page layout that was in progress on my table before the crop!

This one was for a challenge where we picked items to use from a menu (without knowing what they really were). My items were a cardstock base, polka dot patterned paper, 1 picture, bling, a journal spot and one other emellishment of my choice (notice the cardstock piece from the Arm & Hammer box?) It was really hard for me to do such a plain, empty layout but it's done and that's what's important! This is my favorite layout from the weekend. It was for a Bingo challenge - I had to use clouds, bling, a border bunch, thickers and distressing.
This was from a sketch challenge and I had to pick the title from a list as well...
And this was a scraplift challenge. This one looks better in real life - the stickles on the crown hadn't dried here yet :)
So I'm glad I know how the online crop thing works because we'll be having one at Creative Cookbooking starting April 26th....it will last for a week so that you have more time to get layouts done! I have been working on projects but will save those to share later on :)
