After last month's boy kit at BOAF, I was THRILLED to see a girly kit for May :) I love butterflies and this month's kit is full of them. My big girl just put in her new butterfly earrings and my little girl has the cutest butterfly outfit - I will show you those pictures with my next round of layouts!
Earlier this week, I posted a tutorial on how I edited the picture for this layout. I printed it 4x6 and then trimmed it for this layout. I used a sketch by Heather Landry. I just love her style so when I was stuck on how to use the American Craft Stitched Butterfly Paper, I went through her site on the hunt for a sketch. The first one I came to worked perfectly!
I cut two of the stitched butterflies from the AC paper and reattached them on top of my layering. I also punched a few more butterflies to add below the picture.
I also want to point out that this AC paper is vellum and it wasn't exactly the shade I wanted it to be so I layered it on top of one of the green CS pieces. The embellishment clusters:
For my next layout, I loved the polaroid frames and embellishment banners already layed out for me.
Have you noticed that I loved using the raindrop rhinestones on the butterflies for both layouts?
I removed all of the adhesive from the stickers and then used pop dots to give the elements dimension on the page. Oh, and my last step was to add my own stitching, using the stitch lines already on the paper as my guide.
Did you hear that we are having a crop next weekend for National Scrapbook Day? I hope to see you in the forums...don't want to miss out on Bingo, our challenges and other fun!!
