This is my second go at a December Daily after swearing that I would never, EVER!, do another. This time I purchased a set including the album, Merry & Bright kit and pens off of HSN. I never could find the Merry & Bright kit locally so I am glad I splurged to buy online.
{I apologize about the size and darkness. I was in a hurry to post and move on, ha!}
The album:
I actually started right after Thanksgiving so I didn't want to call it my December Daily. Christmas Memories!
I stayed on top of the picture printing and journaling the first few days.
And then I quickly trailed off... However, these Project Life cards made it SO EASY to get caught up!
I was able to find photos for almost every day when I pulled everything off of my phone...
But I did miss a few days, mainly because I was sick for 2 weeks, the worst being right before and after Christmas.
I can't say the photos are what I dreamed of when I first started, but I am very thrilled now that the project is done.
I did go back at the end and add sequins on every layout. Not sure if I would do it again, but it is a perfect representation of what my girls are into right now. Sparkle!
Some pages are definitely more plain than others...
And Christmas memories turned into Birthday memories for a spread...
and then ended with New Years Eve memories :)
You can see that I did trim out page protectors. HUGE downside to this album is having a predetermined number of pages in the album. I ended up cutting out half of the pages pretty easily.
I'm hoping that this time next year, I won't be wrapping up just a December Daily album but an entire year of Project Life. I have tried this digitally several times and don't like it, but I do really enjoy the paper form and obviously had more success. ;) I have subscribed to Studio Calico's kit club for Project Life style cards and embellishments, as well as enrolled in a class for support. Can't wait to get started!!
